Weeping Willow Trees

Aloha Everyone,

Strong wind blowing through 9th Street caught us by surprise. This is where you see Weeping Willows planted to offer shades to pedestrians. In addition to shades, we saw caterpillars crawling on the pavement. With 24 sets of feet, those insects could move fast.

We were on our way to check out another neighborhood. But J.J. felt uncomfortable when the wind velocity suddenly increased. We decided to remain in BGC Uptown.

At Marketplace I purchased more pears and green Kiwi fruits. I rather not give more business to Chinese owners who are behind Australian Golden Kiwis.

Friday the 13th has proven to be a lucky day for me. Our lunch at Flying Tiger was okay. Nothing special and even our Thai HaloHalo was so-so. We returned to our condo and took a great nap.

I wanted to avoid fried food. J.J. suggested getting soft shell crabs at Fely J’s. These crabs are farm raised. Shortly after he took our order, the waiter returned to tell us that delivery trucks haven’t arrived. No crabs.

J.J. ordered our regular fresh lumpia and Sinigan na Bangus. When the waiter arrived with the pot, it was made of pork rather than fish. Another 20 minutes of waiting.

We are not sure why the manager came to ask for our senior ID. They gave us senior discounts. Perhaps because they made two errors to our orders. Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day after all.

Aloha -- Cathi
