Exploring the New Neighborhood

Aloha Everyone,

It was a bit odd that we didn’t have our 6:00 am breakfast time. The weather was cooler, and we walked to find Seven Eleven to buy a couple of bottles of drinking water. After about walking 1 mile, we went to Key Coffee for breakfast. J.J.’s Capuchino with croissants was more photogenic than my Americano coffee with milk and two pan de Sal.

Market Place is another supermarket located at the basement of Rustan’s. Big advantage is we can find items in smaller quantities. Lunch at Fely J’s Kichen on the rooftop area. Enjoyed regular Sinigan ng Bagus as our main plate. One interesting dish J.J. chose was shrimps with lychees.

Hurricane Toraji is expected to bring rains to the northern part of the country.

Finished our early dinner at Hong Kong Dim Sum place. It’s only 6:00 pm. Plan to go out early tomorrow morning to get our exercises.

Moving Day to Uptown Park Suites

Aloha Everyone,

Had a healthy moving day breakfast at Seda BGC.

Our original plan was to check out by 1:00 pm then go out for leisurely lunch until it’s time for us to check in at Uptown Park Suites. By 1:00 pm, the sun was shining and with high humidity we opted to remain at the hotel lunch.

J.J. had mushrooms carrots soup with fried calamari. My spaghetti with pesto sauce was delicious but I only was able to finish 1/2 of it. Trying to prolong our lunch became a game.

Finally, at 3:00 pm, we called for Lyft.

Our room at Uptown Park Suites is one bedroom unit with views located on the 30th floor. It is clean and comfortable.  My only concern is that the floor level. I prefer being on the maximum of 12th floor.

Went to Landers Market adjacent to this place. Landers is a membership store and probably has relationships with COSTCO. We saw many Kirkland labels.

Dinner at Key Coffee Shop located across the street.

Last Day at Seda BGC

Aloha Everyone,

J.J. and I both selected Filipino breakfast food before packing our suitcases.

Walked to SM Aura to get our exercises. Cappuccino sort of ruined his appetite.

We had a light meal at MESA, a large chain restaurant found all over the country. Sinigan ng Bugus with fresh guavas gave yellowish color plus sourness to the soup.

Dinner at FatSeed was great choice. We had grilled salmon on quinoa. Great service and delicious foods. I’m sure we will return again.

We are ready for our move tomorrow.

Heavy Rains Overnight

Aloha Everyone,

Sounds of thunderstorm woke us up during the night. Fortunately, by 8:00 am the following morning, the rain had stopped, and the sun came out.

Good breakfast.

J.J. decided to forget about the condo unit offered by Sam. Too many restrictions about the rental terms. Our deadline to move is Saturday. We are tight with time. We’ll also get our 2nd bag of laundry done by tomorrow am.

Lunch at ShiLin Taiwanese restaurant. Good food & service.

For dinner, we walked a short distance to OOMO for soba.

While waiting for our laundry to be delivered, we viewed fireworks from our room. It was to signify the start of the BGC High Street holiday season. We will try to get some sleep.
