J.J. and I’ve been interested in visiting Petra, located in today’s Jordan. It is also known as Nabataean caravan city, located between the Red Sea and the Dead Sea. One of the world‘s famous archaeological sites, half-built, half-carved into the rock surrounded by mountains with passages and gorges.According to Hutch, more recent land slides, heavy rains and gushing water made it difficult for most visitors. Whereas it used to take less than an hour, the trekking now takes longer. For practical reasons, we are scratching Petra from our destination list.
Getting into a mood for our Sydney arrival, the two of us watched Paul Hogan’s classic, Crocodile Dundee in our stateroom.
