Took a free shuttle to downtown Napier then walked around parks and botanical gardens. Beautifully maintained city. Senior friendly place with museums and art galleries. If we are to return here, I would love to spend a couple of hours each at museums.
Residents are friendly. I even received an offer to take my photo when I was doing a selfie.
The story of Six sisters is about a father who had 6 daughters. When they reached the marriageable age, he built each of them nearly identical houses right next to each other. The houses appeared newly painted. Considered a historical site and a tourist attraction, Napier T-shirts, cloth bags and other souvenir items featured image of 6 houses.
