Valencia, Spain

Aloha Everyone,

What we recall is the main railroad station with mosaics of orange trees. This is the third largest population in Spain with 807,693 inhabitants based on their 2023 census. Today we wanted to change our sightseeing venue and planned to spend 3-4 hours visiting the City of Arts and Sciences.

Most important modern tourist destination in Valencia and one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.

MSC “sponsored” shuttle bus took us through city streets meandering through the morning traffic. When we were dropped off, it was near the exterior façade of the Serrano Gate.  Another scorching day. J.J. and I walked the bridge to Serrano Gate looking for a café to take a break and looking to get a taxi.

I left my phone in our room, so J.J. took most of these photos. Oceanographic museum and Serrano Gate photos are courtesy of Valencia tourism office.

One of the 12 Treasures of Spain has to wait until our next visit.

Aloha -- Cathi
