Pre-departure day is always stressful. J.J. and I thought of taking the tube to Paddington Station, find great Pasties, then observe humanity before returning to our hotel.Online news is focused on sensational events even though they are limited to a handful of people in their neighborhood.
Grievances, frustration against government, hatred towards police, failure with their lives are unfortunately repeated around the world.
Sensible choice for us was to have a good breakfast at our hotel, went out to walk the corridor linking Terminal 4 to our hotel for a total of 4 miles, take away lunch from Coffee Nero & WH Smith.
Our dinner at Holiday Inn Express restaurant was disappointing. Menu selection was less than that of Hilton and quality of service and foods were just barely adequate. The restaurant automatically tagged on 12 1/2% service charge. There are over 6,000 hotels and resorts worldwide that belong to the Holiday Inn brand. And a little promotional card like this helps. J.J. and I will more likely be using more of the IHG hotels in our future travels as well.
