On Our Way to Norway

Aloha Everyone,

Our taxi driver was a short, stocky man I guessed to be in his 50’s. With his limited English, he told us that he is from Afganistán. We learned about his family & his aspirations.

Our ride was less than 20 minutes and the posted fare was £12. J.J. gave him £15. He wished us well and called out “Enjoy life for it is too short.”

Our stateroom is on the 5th floor accessible from the piazza through the art gallery. It has one large unobstructed window. Bed frames sit lower so our suitcases have to be stored in the opened closet area.

Our cabin steward, Victor from Mexico is experienced and excels at his work. We are recommending him and Jun, a waiter in the Island Dining room for the first positive impression we received when we came on board.

Aloha -- Cathi
