Quick Energy Snacks

Aloha Everyone,

In less than 3 days, J.J. and I will be cruising to Hawaii and the South Pacific. As usual, we have a lists of things to finish and I am munching on grape tomatoes to keep me going.

Grape tomatoes are shaped like grapes. They are small, about half the size of cherry tomatoes with thicker skins. They are not sweet and less watery, thus easier to grab a few pieces.


Grape tomatoes are full of fiber, Vitamin A & C, potassium, antioxidant and lycopene that, according to the Mayo Clinic site, can help with issues like inflammation and blood clotting.

I also like the idea the lycopene may help bone density especially in women at risk of osteoporosis.
