Aloha Everyone,
A terrific day, one of the best of our voyage to the South Pacific Islands.Trying to be adventurous, J.J. and I rode The Bus to Ala Moana Shipping Center. Fare was $3 per person one way.
Went to Hilo Hattie to look for a dress. Tried on two white dresses but they were too big and make me look pregnant. At Target, we were able to purchase toiletries.
Lunch with George and Lena at the Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant on the 3rd level of Ala Moana. Lots of good dim sum dishes and always interesting conversation. We took a taxi back to the ship. 1 hour nap then we waited for Jeff to come and meet us.
Dinner with Jeff at MOKU located in SALT, Kakaako. The artistic rendering of a rooster on their menu has nothing to do with the name MOKU which means district, a land division that sections off portions of each island. After the Great Mahele, the islands were divided into districts. Prior to this, land belong to all and everyone who lived on the land used.
Aloha -- Cathi
