Aloha Everyone,
Using Google Navigation app, it took us less than 15 minutes to our destination. Driving via Sorrento Valley then Carmel Valley in the direction of Poway Lake. There is an accessible hiking trail that circles the lake. Popular for fishing and boating activities, my granddaughter had one of her birthday party pre-pandemic years.Today it was too hot and too dry to even take a short break at the lake.

Our friends' house is in a pleasant, planned community. Their criteria for home search included where people can walk or bike in the neighborhood and see basketball hoops indicative of children and family-oriented neighbors. Again, it was too hot for me to walk outdoors.
Our friendship traces back to Hawaii days. To celebrate our Hawaii connections, we snacked on pineapples and tropical fruits and caught up with changes and adventures each of us had in our lives.
