Aloha Everyone,
After our late checkout from Extended Stay America, J.J. and I went to the Del Amo Fashion Mall for lunch. The mall was crowded with shoppers with small children.Luna Grill Mediterranean Kitchen was our venue for lunch. J.J.’s beef gyro plate served with pilaf, salad, Greek yogurt plus feta bread, my veggie wrap with Falafel were excellent.
I spoke with a young family with two small boys. Reminded me of our sons when they were at their age. Originally from Japan but now residents of California, we exchanged our names and emails.
Hilary has been downgraded to Tropical Storm. Anticipating heavy rainfalls in the next 12 hours, San Diego School District as well as Los Angeles School District have announced closures of public schools tomorrow.
Our hotel room in Miyako Hybrid Hotel is very comfortable. Unfortunately due to the Tropical Storm Hilary and 5.1 Earthquake in 4 miles north of Los Angeles the hotel closed its only restaurant. My sister came to a rescue and brought us J.J.’s favorite takeout sushi bento boxes.
