Aloha Everyone,
In Philippines, Christmas season begins in September and goes on until January, Three Kings Day. Customarily, employees are given 13th month pay so they will have extra spending money. J.J. tells stories of shopping malls playing Bing Crosby’s “I dream of a white Christmas” when the temperature is 90 degrees Fahrenheit. After spending a total of 3 1/2 months cruising this year, the two of us are planning to enjoy an island-based life style for nearly 4 1/2 months.
While we are still in the process of unpacking our two suitcases, we are also making packing lists including prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Made a date to visit our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter in LaJolla this coming Sunday. We will also reserve Saturday to get together with my sister. I try not to get overwhelmed with a long list of “things to do” including drop off dry cleaning, drop off laundry, hair salon appointment. Somehow miraculously the two of us manage to get things done.
Aloha -- Cathi
