Starting Our 3rd Cruise

Aloha Everyone,

Our arrival time in San Pedro was ahead of schedule. Anticipating a rush of passengers having breakfast prior to disembarking, we ordered room service.

At 9:30 am, J.J. and I joined the group of transit passengers at the designated location. There are a lot more people with issues of mobility. Whether that was one of the reasons or lack of coordination between the US immigration authorities and ship’s personnel, our total time to disembark, go through a facial recognition scanning machine, return to the ship after having our purses and other personal effects scanned by an X-ray machine, took a total of two hours! 23 of us were this select group of back-to-back cruisers.

We dread to go through another such process when we get off and back on Cruise #4. If this morning was the least glamorous part of our cruising life, we have little to complain.

More families with younger children, more energetic crowds or young at heart, this new group is boisterous. One has to be mindful so not to get run over by motorized wheel chairs.

Stopped by at the library and borrowed three books.

Aloha -- Cathi
