My Neighbor Totoro

Aloha Everyone,

If you love animation and fantasy, you are probably familiar with Hayao Miyazaki’s works. A highly acclaimed animation, “My Neighbor Totoro” is now on stage. It is the story of a school age girl Satsuke and her younger sister, Mei who befriends Totoro, the massive, cuddly creature who lives in the forest. Produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company, it is making a big splash.

This realm of spirits stage production is 2 hours and 30 minutes long. 

Our granddaughter loves Hayao Miyazaki’s works. But when I mentioned to her about this stage adaptation, she was more curious about seeing how the transition from two dimensional animation to stage production could be accomplished.
