Busy, Onboard Activities

Aloha Everyone,

Overcast morning. Felt sentimental as Sapphire Princess sailed away from the Hawaiian Islands.

After my 3 miles brisk walk on the Promenade Deck, I dropped in at the Zumba class. Random music choices of Latin to Pop to Country didn’t seem to affect the enthusiastic participants. Most of them were not serious about Zumba but rather, it was a venue to move their arms and legs and potentially make new friends.

Enrichment presentation about Route 66 is an ongoing series. The presenter showed photos of then and now of the segments of the historical Route 66 interspersed with music of the area and times. Nostalgic memories, enthusiastic audience joined in “sing-alongs”. A man who sat behind us was so happy that he knew about 90% of the lyrics and confidently belted it out of tune. We were happy that he was very content.

Chefs presentation of food sculptures on The Piazza, Deck 6 Midship attracted a large audience who formed lines to take close-up photos of the individual creations.
