Walking to Acropolis, Plaka

Aloha Everyone,

After fortifying ourselves with the healthy breakfast served at our hotel, we were off for a day’s adventure.

From our hotel, it took us a mere 10-minute easy walk to the Acropolis Museum. So many people, lines were snaking around to enter the museum, and others to access Acropolis. Today is Palm Sunday.

Typical American visitors come to Athen for 3 nights/ 4 days. If you are getting an overview of the city, one can accomplish this by riding a Hop on Hop off bus or similar tourist transportation. For us, the joy is to walk around, meander and suddenly come face-to-face with monuments and excavations as you turn a corner. There are many ancient wonders around this city.
