Aloha Everyone,
Due to the time difference, the two of us were wide awake on our flight from Istanbul to Los Angeles. I watched “Casablanca” a 1942 Romance/Drama classic starring Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart. It is one of my all time favorites and “go to” inflight film. Even though I have memorized the film, the romantic ending still makes me cry.
The second film, a 2020 Drama, “The Father” starring Sir Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman was heart wrenching. It is a psychological drama based on the play “Le Perè” by Florián Zeller. The main character, the Father, is suffering with dementia. This is a poignant real life drama showing how his worsening conditions affects his daughter’s life and how she copes daily is well done.
