Our Accommodations on Star Ferry and in Rhodes

Aloha Everyone,

J.J. surprised me by reserving a deluxe Pure-cabin on our Star Ferry from Syros to Rhodes. The two of us decided to minimize our carry-ons. After storing our two suitcases at the luggage racks where vehicles are parked, all we had to do was to take the escalator and check in at the reception.

 

A porter led the way to our room designated as allergy free with special air purifier. These rooms are very popular due to the pandemic.

This was a wonderful treat. We were given a spacious cabin located at the front (bow) of the ferry. A double couch, vanity table, mini refrigerator stocked with drinks and a fresh fruits tray, flat screen TV, pen & stationery plus room slippers were welcoming. According to J.J., the boat made 3 stops during the 11 hours trip but I slept through it. The cost for the ride plus the room charge was €121 each.

We arrived in Rhodes and took a taxi to our hotel located at a business district of the city. Park Hotel is a member of the Best Western Hotel chain catering to group travelers. The room has a large balcony with view. Our first photo of Rhodes was taken from the boat as we approached the port.
