J.J. chose lamb chops which was served with grilled vegetables and fries. I ordered an arugula salad with tomatoes, herbs and olive oil. Their serving portions were American size which was large compared to Greek dishes.
In Rhodes, our meals are averaging €20 - €30 for two. This pricing, in comparison to Naxos or in Syros, is about 20% higher while the serving portions are 20% smaller. J.J. and I don’t mind paying 20-30% more, if the portions are large
Some local patrons order drinks, then eat outside food in plastic containers. This is unacceptable in the United States, but it seems to be tolerated by neighborhood restaurants. The practice appears to be common among families with multiple children.
