Aloha Everyone,
Syros Island is another Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. It is one of a number of Greek islands J.J. and I would like to visit. Ultimately our choice came down to ease of getting there, available ferry service, historical significance, archeology and features that stand out from other Cyclades island chains.
We counted 7 travel/tour agencies on the main street of Naxos and we chose ZAS Travel. The company advertises itself as experts with over 39 years of experience. ZAS has two retail spaces on the same street.
Florios, with his bright smile that is ready to break into a hearty laughter, sits behind a plastic shield. Florios assisted us with our day boat trip to Delos and Mykonos. The office is usually busy with a waiting line of other customers buying ferry boat tickets. Our tickets purchase was fast and efficient. We will take a super fast ferry to Syros and return to Naxos on the slower Blue Star line.
During breakfast, two of us met Patricia and Manoli as they were getting ready to take their clients onto Paros. They are travel agents focused on Greece. Patricia, an American and Manoli, a Greek have been doing personalized small tours for American visitors. During our brief encounter, Patricia was busy rushing from table to table greeting and advising clients about the Covid 19 forms they must complete before boarding the ferry.
