Aloha Everyone,
My favorite and most frequent walking path is on the main pedestrian road where 40 or so restaurants are located. The upside is that the street is leveled and well swept. Also there are lots of visual and sometime audio entertainment. (I will write about the audio entertainment in a separate Blog). The downside is this is where parents bring their babies in strollers and let young children run around.
Outside of the tourist areas, stores in Naxos town usually close in the afternoon and reopen after 5:00 pm. It is a good time to walk as you run into less pedestrians.
The area I chose taking include winding streets towards Naxos Castle. It reminds me of the winding streets of Paros island. The big difference is that you are ether climbing up or walking down. This could be rather challenging for your knees.
I am happy to say that I found two pairs of yoga pants at a nearby store where they specializes in children’s sizes. The salesperson apologized that she has mostly red and pink pants but only one in black and one in navy. I literally crawled inside a tiny storage space where I tried them on top of my yoga pants :-). Size 12 fits me perfectly and the price of 10€ each was an incredible bargain. I purchased both :-).
