Aloha Everyone,
Great Resignation is an appropriate term coined for the mass exodus of young Americans in there 20s, 30s, and 40s who are fed up with long hours, meaningless work that brings no personal satisfaction. Some people quit their jobs due to changing events such as marriage, divorce or family illness.
However, with the COVID-19 Pandemic upending every aspect of everyone’s lives, some ask, “What is the meaning of life?”
J.J. and I share our passion for travel from our very first European trip which lasted 6 months. At that time, we used Eurail (European Railroad pass) that was both safe and affordable. Our Volkswagen Pop-Up Van followed with our first born. Then we moved to Mercedes Benz campers.
Planning our upcoming travel to Greece and other future destinations, during of our conversations, I asked our older son if we are running away from a restricted life in California during the pandemic or are we running seeking safer harbor to shelter in.
His answer was, “it’s neither. You are just running and you just keep on running as long as you can. Enjoy your life. Jeff and I will be here for you and Dad when you can no longer run."
We are truly blessed.
Aloha -- Cathi
