Aloha Everyone,
Tanoshii Japanese restaurant at Swissôtel Quito was a perfect venue for our “Thank you” lunch for Jeff.
It was also fitting as the restaurant’s name Tanoshii means “happiness” in Japanese. Established 28 years ago, Tanoshii offers the most exclusive and exquisite Japanese cuisine in the capital of Ecuador. The three of us concurred that this was by far the best meal we’ve had in Quito.
From top J.J.’s main dishes of sashimi plate, Jeff’s Chefs choice sushi selection, nabeyaki udon, vegetable tempura, chicken karaage, and grilled tofu with vegetables.
The three of us found the rubber band tied chopstick for non chopstick using clientele to be both humorous and ingenious. I should add that the pot of green tea we ordered for the three of us was served hot using genuine matcha tea.
