Off to Ecuador!

Aloha Everyone,

Our round trip plane tickets to Ecuador is $856.00 each on American Airlines. From LAX to Miami, we sat in the First Class section of a 772. Here is my seat A1 and the earphone set which is useless because the online WIFi & entertainment systems were malfunctioning.

The European breakfast I had which included prosciutto, boiled egg, Brie, smoked Gouda, fig, apricot and almonds was truly wonderful!  As you can see from the photo, that was only a small portion of the enormous tray of food.

We were on the road for more than 16 hours with a plane transfer in Miami. 

Happy to be back in Ecuador. Entry formalities were accomplished smoothly. Grateful for us engaging the services of wheelchairs for J.J., we were the first to be out of the airport.

We immediately liked and felt at ease with our taxi driver, Javier Auconcelo. His English is excellent and the two of us plan to hire him for day excursions once our bodies have acclimated to Quito’s high altitude.

Our hotel room is beautiful. The bed in this King Suite can easily sleep 4 regular size adults :-). Too exhausted and excited, I am still up at pass midnight local time.
