Only 19 more days until 2021!
This has been a year filled with our family tragedy and the worldwide challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic. J.J. and I were truly delighted when this wonderful news from Jeff popped up in my message box.
To become a National Board Certified Teacher, Jeff went through an arduous process that included submitting 4 components: video, written exams, essays and personal interviews. Jeff started the process early this year and was determined to finish in 6 months even though most people allocate 3-5 years to pass all 4 components. This year was especially difficult because of the pandemic. His classes all became virtual.
It is encouraging to hear Jeff’s reflection on what he learned from the process and how he plans to apply his newly gained knowledge into his future teaching.
J.J. and I are waiting for our turn to get vaccinated so that we can start making travel plans and be able to visit Hawaii and see Jeff and Jenny in person to celebrate.
Like so many people around the world, we are counting the remaining days of this year which most of us would rather forget. 19 more days to go!
