Rain in the Asturias region is not heavy, huge droplets like Hawaii. Rain is steady, gentle and constant. Even when the sun peeks out, you can feel the moisture for hours. Rain in the Astorias region leaves the ground soaked, making the land suitable for apple trees to thrive.
The two of us did a sensible thing to combat the wet weather. We walked to the nearby El Cortez Inglés*
to purchase a set of thermal underwear. *(Headquartered in Madrid, Spain, this is the biggest department store chain in Europe and it ranks third worldwide.)
Juan at Debuenatinta was very helpful in finding an economical package to convert our Portuguese phone to Spanish phone. He also proceeded to give us suggestions on what else the two of us can see in Oviedo.
