Aloha Everyone,
This Mexican craft market is located just 4 blocks from our AirBnB. Claudio suggested that we walk there to see if I can find some bracelets made of madera (wood). Last year, I found some wooden bracelets in Mexico and by adding a couple of drops of essential oil such as peppermint, they function as a calming agent and pleasing to wear. It seems small wooden bracelets are not easily found.
While J.J. waited for me at the entrance, I searched the semi-covered market with more than 200 stalls. The stalls are lined in an organized grid system so it is easy to pop in and out.
Interesting signs posted at nearly every stalls caught my eyes. The message: “No tocar y no tomar fotos”. (Don’t touch and don’t take photos). Sounds rather unfriendly and even a little offensive for potential customers. But as I walked around, I heard German, French, English and Chinese speakers. Either they did not understand the message or simply ignored it. They were going through stacks of table clothes, blankets or whatever that were on display and posed for photos.
All my photos were taken after I obtained consent from the shop owners. And here are the non-wood bracelets I purchased.
Aloha -- Cathi
