Aloha Everyone,
Our time with Diane was spent having interesting conversations and sharing our recent experiences. We also had great meals including French and Chinese.
Tonight Diane treated us for dinner at Stillwater Grill located in Grand Lake. The restaurant was having a “Julia Child” special and the menu featured several of her French dishes.
My baked pear stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese was sooo delicious that I had to share 1/2 of the pear with J.J. and Diane. The Charcuterie Plate which I chose as my main dish was large enough to share with J.J. He thoroughly enjoyed his canard poêlé (pan fried duck) which was fantastic!
Jean-Claude Cavalera, owner and Executive Chef graciously agreed to join J.J. and me for a souvenir photo. The restaurant is charmingly decorated. The service is excellent. Here Tami, our server, posed for me with the pianist. Stillwater Grill is definitely worth a trip. www.StillwaterGrill.net
For lunch, the three of us went to Winter Park, approximately 24 miles round trip from Grand Lake. Per J.J.’s choice, we went to a Chinese restaurant and as you can see, had a feast.
