Uplifting & Bizarre Messages

Aloha Everyone,

J.J. and I love being back in the Pacific Northwest. Aside from the great food, beautiful scenery and great coastline, there is Fred Meyers. It has stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska. Their employees, 30,000 strong, seem to take pride in being associated with the company. The quality of their produce is excellent.

The second photo seems hostile and rather bizarre. It is posted at the entrance to an RV park.

The Oregon Coastal sceneries change from deep forested areas to sheer cliffs, sand dunes to bridges and lakes. The entire 362 miles of coastline is protected from development so that all of us can enjoy. We began our drive north from Florence and passed many familiar state parks such as Haceta Head Lighthouse, Beverly Beach, South Beach all of which had no vacancy signs posted.

Happiness is a hearty cup of clam chowder soup and salad for me and pan-fried oyster and hand-cut potatoes for J.,J.

The two of us are spending the night in Lincoln City at the Logan Road RV Park owned by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.

It is a chilly evening with drizzles. Aside from my daily phone calls, J.J. and I took a selfie to assure my Mother that the two of us are doing great.

Aloha -- Cathi
