Aloha Everyone,
Our days in California were wonderful. First with my Mother and the last 7 days with our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. But there's always a beginning, middle and end to each segments of our travels and today it is time to move on.
Leaving our son's home at 4:45 in the morning definitely added to our sense of excitement. As we drove into the dawn of lavender hued morning light, the two of us gave each other a high 5!
The fact the mechanic had to order parts including a replacement inverter from Road Trek in Canada meant that J.J. and I have a couple of options. We elected to go on a limited road trip which means our destinations have to be not too far. J.J. and I also had to be cognizant of the summer heat and with Honu's AC temporarily out of order. We chose places where day time temperature would be below 79 and the overnight to be cool enough so we do not require air conditioner.
Seligman is located at 5,242 feet in Arizona. Its population is estimated to be about 500. After being on the road for nearly 9 hours, we stopped at this historical but rather rustic RV park. A very friendly camp host gave us choices of where we might like to stay. Getting a shaded site for Honu and excellent WiFi are welcome. I also like the fact that I can get my one hour walk in the shaded RV park complex. Temperature is expected to go down to 52 degrees by early tomorrow morning.
Aloha -- Cathi
