Five Guys Burgers and Fries is now ranked as the best in the USA, beating our favorite In-N-Out Burgers.
So with an open mind, J.J. and I walked in. No fancy decor, just a typical American Fast-Food Hamburger place. The smiling face who stood across the counter noticed that the 2 of us might be novices and asked, "So have you eaten here before?" When our response was, "No," he offered to give us a quick intro. I placed my order of Little Guy hamburger, no buns, no mayo, no ketchup, no mustard, but lettuce wrap with everything else ($5.09). J.J. asked for a regular hamburger (2 patties) and everything included ($7.09) plus a small fries ($3.19). While our meals were being made to order, we helped ourselves to complimentary peanuts.
The lettuce wrapped burger was juicy, perfectly prepared with grilled onions, mushrooms and jalapeƱo.
To say that it was delicious sounds like an understatement. I thought that it was truly one of the best hamburgers I have eaten and that is better than In-N-Out.
