Happily Reunited With Jeff & Jenny in Kitsap

Aloha Everyone,

Responding to Jenny's very enthusiastic invitation for us to hurry on to the Kitsap Peninsula, we were on the road by 7:00 am. Jenny is Jeff's wife (our younger son). She is a veterinarian and currently in the US Army stationed at a military base on the Kitsap Peninsula. Only the US Army has Veterinary Corp and they serve all branches.

Relishing perhaps the last open road on I-90, I drove a little over 2 hours from Spokane to Ellensburg.

Red Sky Orchard in Cle Elm is one of our favorite roadside fruit stands. Jami obliged me by posing with the sample basketful of cherries. We purchased 2 lbs of Rainier cherries to share with Jeff and Jenny.

Snoqualmie Pass is famous for heavy snowfalls causing the road to close frequently during winter months. Today, it was a beautiful drive with glacier covered peaks glistening in the sunlight.

We drove via the Narrow Bridge Memorial Park, Tacoma Sound to Bremerton where the highway ran by the Navy Yard City to our destination, Poulsbo.

Happy reunion at the Eagle Tree RV park where we are staying. Jeff and Jenny came to meet us and the four of us went to dine at a popular Mexican restaurant in Poulsbo. Food was excellent, but being with our children was immeasurable.

Aloha -- Cathi
