North Carolina ranks among the best business climates in the U.S. The state was ranked as one of Forbes’ top 5 Best States for Business for 10 consecutive years. The state corporate income tax rate in 2017 is 3%.
North Carolina has 53 colleges and universities including Duke University, Wake Forest, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The state also leads the country in the number of National Board Certified teachers.
J.J. and I did not spend much time in South Carolina. As such it would be difficult for us to compare the two Carolinas. Except that shortly after we crossed the state border, the terrain changed from flat to mountainous.
The RV park has lower and upper sections. Honu's accommodation for the night is on the upper ridge of the campground. Just a few steps away is a view of the shimmering blue lake. It is beautiful and peaceful.
