Aloha Everyone,
Curaçao, is a sovereign state within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. As Conquest approached Willemstad, the capital, we were greeted by enchanting pastel-colored colonial architecture and the floating Queen Emma Bridge.
Dutch, Papiamento and English are the official languages. Curaçao is one of three places referred to as the ABC* islands. (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao).
Natasha, a German transplant, who was our tour guide, was very enthusiastic and passionate about her work as well as her adopted home. The conversation between Natasha and Ray, the driver, in their common language of English was happy and joyful.
After spending 3 hours on Curaçao, we can appreciate why Natasha found her own little paradise in this part of Caribbean.
