Aloha Everyone,
At KOA Salusaw/Fort Smith Campground we met Steve and Aggie. It was a rather unusual introduction. When Steve and I ran into each other, he asked "Are you the lady who was walking fast around the Campground? To my affirmative response, he added, "I think we saw you yesterday at another KOA (Campground) also walking." You never know who might be watching you. Steve and Aggie turned out to be a very interesting couple. They have been on the road full time since 2009. We exchanged our contact info and promised to stay in touch. Their home on wheels Is 46 ft which is twice as long as Honu. It is being pulled by a large truck. We look forward to hearing about their adventures.
Today's drive took us through beautiful yellow flower fields raised commercially to extract their essential oil. At Grand Casino in McLoud, we met Terry and Verna. Terry is approaching close to his retirement and they were curious about Honu. Like many people we meet on the road, usual questions they ask:
"Are you traveling full time?"
"How long have you been traveling?"
"Do you find it (Honu) too small?"
We wished them well in their search of a perfect home on wheels.
