From Utah to Arizona

Aloha Everyone,

Our prescription medicines are with Walmart in Hurricane, UT. Some prescriptions can be transferred to another Walmart anywhere in the United States. Others paid by Medicare can't be transferred. J.J. and I felt that it would be prudent for us to pick up all our prescription renewals before leaving Hurricane to last us until we return in mid-July.

The idea seemed simple, but there were still additional request forms and signatures required by Medicare. By the time we had everything sorted out, it was 12:30 pm when Honu was finally on the road.

We followed the beautiful and familiar scenic route from Hurricane via Vermillion Cliffs on Route 89A. J.J. drove the entire time. Today's journey took us nearly 6 hours, a pleasant drive on a less travelled route. Honu encountered a speeding ambulance just prior to the scene of an over-turned truck and RV.  A sharp reminder that one must always be alert and cautious at all times.

Honu's accommodation for the night is Flagsraff KOA. True to the KOA's family camping image, this is a family-friendly campsite that feels like you are staying in a national or state park rather than a commercial RV park.

J.J. cleaned Honu's windshield removing the debris of insects while I did my 30 minutes fast paced walk.

Aloha -- Cathi
