Japanese-Style Lunch at Dolores'

Aloha Everyone,

Dolores is multi-talented. To say that she is an excellent chef is an understatement. She manages businesses and is involved in philanthropy projects which includes The Center for Possibilities, her own non-profit foundation for special needs children. Dolores confided in me that cooking is her relaxation. It gives her a chance to pause, a respite from her otherwise hectic schedule.

For today's lunch, Dolores prepared delicious Japanese-style dishes.

Lightly fried tempura Kangkong (water spinach) leaves, chawanmushi (egg custard with fish cake and vegetable) were delicious appetizers.

Succulent side of vinegar cucumber ribbons followed by tempura shrimps and sukiyaki were main courses.

Deserts of Panna Cotta and cinnamon rolls which Dolores made from scratch completed the wonderful, memorable meal.

Here is a photo of the pork belly she had cooked for J.J. but was not served as he was unable to join us.
