Aloha Everyone,
J.J. and I had a merienda (snack) at Great Maple located in the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance.
Upscale restaurant, advertises online as the "Modern American Eatery: Come enjoy our heartfelt enthusiasm and laid-back dining..." The two of us were greeted by Dominique, a personable seating hostess who escorted us to our table.
At 3:00 pm, the restaurant was sparsely occupied.
J.J. ordered a cup of coffee and chocolate mousse on chocolate pie crust.
I asked for my customary hot water with lemon (served very hot the way I like it) and a chocolate cake. As you can see my chocolate cake was HUGE, literally about 1/2 of my face, and after one little bite, I felt the sugar rush to my brain. Solution was to share little bit of J.J.'s chocolate mousse and had mine packed to take home.
Great Maple also has 2 other sites: in San Diego and Newport Beach. We would give another visit, next time for a meal. https://thegreatmaple.com/
