Aloha Everyone,
The strong storm system that swept across much of southwest California was fierce. It left havoc in its aftermath. The Los Angeles area was one of the hardest hit. Uprooted trees crashed into apartment buildings; gushing flood water sweeping cars; newly created sink holes swallowing cars and houses. The list of tragedies kept local news reporters busy. On a personal note, our son's flight from the East Coast was last to arrive at the San Diego Airport. There were many flight cancellations and airports closures.
My Mother's house and her garden withstood the storm with only minor inconveniences: a little bit of rainwater seeped in through the garage door and her bonsai plants got inundated with too much rainfall.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those families who lost their love ones, homes and valuables.
Aloha -- Cathi
