A Day Full Of Road Adventure

Aloha Everyone,

Las Vegas is located 2,000 ft above the sea level. We were awaken when the alarm system of Honu started to beep. What happened was that due to the weather, the Las Vegas Electric  Company's system went down and large sections of Henderson, North Las Vegas and downtown lost power. The electric heater had drained all four batteries. Fortunately, there is a 2500 watts attached to the generator.

We decided to go north to Hurricane, Utah to refill our prescriptions. Our plan on spending a night in Hurricane had to be aborted when we learned that a cold front is approaching. Our destination to Page, AZ, therefore took us through familiar and very magnificent scenic route. J.J. drove nearly 6 hours but he said this had been an enjoyable and relaxing drive.

Please enjoy our photo album of our day's highlights including driving by Jacob's Lake where recent snowfall covered the landscape and at times, road signs warned motorists of winter driving conditions.
