Torrance Certified Farmers Market

Aloha Everyone,

Finding unusual produce and freshly harvested seasonal fruits, flowers and vegetables are a definite draw for this twice-weekly farmers market.

With a perfect Southern California balmy weather, and an ample parking lot, this is viewed as one of the best farmers markets in the South Bay area.

J.J. accompanied my Mother to buy several kinds of vegetables while I purchased 6 varieties of plum, nectarine, peach and apple.

Many vendors claim "organic certified."  You are paying premium, but the quality is unquestionably top and worth paying the extra dollars.  For example, you pay $3.00 per pound for apple at this farmers market vs $1.75 for the same variety in a nearby supermarket.

In Italy, JJ and I are looking forward to going to local markets on a daily basis to see what unique and interesting produce may be available for us to enjoy.

Aloha -- Cathi
