Aloha Everyone,
J.J. and I met two interesting individuals today.
First was the receptionist at the Gold Dust West Casino Hotel RV Park. When Nicole found out that our official home address is South Dakota but we are constantly on the move, she shared her story. Both her parents were truck drivers and she rode with her parents from coast to coast and to Canada and Mexico. She's been to all states except for Hawaii and Alaska. Efficient and personable, she is a great asset to the professional team at Gold Dust West.
The weather is absolutely perfect -- low 47 and high 75! We stopped at Walmart in Indian Hills and purchased provisions.
The second encounter.was at the RV park. He walked over to Honu to talk to us. After comparing RV mileages and performances, our visitor went on to tell us about his real estate empire. The man stated that he has 8 grown children, who are all doing well but always asking for money :-/
We dined at the main casino restaurant. J.J.'s shrimp special and my spinach salad were very good. Casinos usually offer value for their meals. The shrimp plate with 13 shrimps was $7.77. Our total bill inclusive of a generous tip came out to $20.
Intermittent showers gave us a beautiful rainbow in the early evening sky.
Aloha -- Cathi
