Aloha Everyone,
Our seats on Airbus were comfortable. With one extra vacant seat for the two of us, I was able to lie down and get some sleep. Air France onboard entertainment offers an extensive movie list. I watched three films, "Gray Dawn" a Ghanaian Nigerian English language drama; "Star Wars Force Awakens" & "5 Flights Up" starring Morgan Freedman and Diane Keaton. Sensitive acting and a perfect chemistry between the two main character was enjoyable.
Leaving LAX:
On flight dinner - I stayed with my Kind Bar
Breakfast - another Kind Bar for me
Transfer and officially entering into EU were completed during our 1 hour 45 minutes at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. The facility is completely new to us from the last time J.J. and I visited. The conversations in French made me wish that we were spending a few days in Paris.
Smooth entry to Budapest. A very enlightening discussion with a Canadian born Hungarian with whom we shared a shuttle bus service from the airport.
Our apartment hotel is located in a stone building in the center of Pest estimated to have been built after the WWI. We squeezed into a small box elevator then walked down long corridors with monitored light fixtures to get to our assigned room.
Voilà! Clean, airy, spacious high ceiling one-bedroom apartment is just like we viewed online! We will be happy living here for the next 2 weeks.
Aloha -- Cathi
