Morning Walk & Lunch at Louis Burgers

Aloha Everyone,

Our overnight visit to La Jolla was brief, but it was packed with FUN activities. Yesterday, I went along with my daughter-in-law to pick up our granddaughter at school. She completed her homework quickly so that the two of us could maximize our play time together.

This morning our son invited me to go for a walk around the park before he set off to work. The morning air was fresh and clear. Intoxicating colors and fragrance of early summer flowers all contributed to the very special time we spent together.

J.J. and I stopped for lunch at Louis Burgers in Torrance.

Trying to maintain my on-going self-imposed dietary guideline of no rice, no bread, and no other starch require paying attention to details especially with fast food items. First I eliminated the buns from my avocado burger. I then removed slice of tomato and pickle. My modified avocado burger was a simple meat patty topped with generous amount of avocado on a bed of finely shredded lettuce. J.J. ate his mushroom burger the way it was served.

Fine meal for the two of us cost just a little over $10 including tax.

Aloha -- Cathi
