Aloha Everyone,
The private limo service J.J. contracted gave us a reminder text message one hour then 30 minutes prior to the pick up time. Giving ample allowance for security processing delays, we arrived at LAX (Los Angeles Int'l Airport) well over 3.5 hours before departure.
Airports are a fascinating and interesting place to be. We first witnessed a family of three adults and one child trying to check in 5 huge luggage and at least 7 hand carries. The Air France clerks were diplomatic, but firm in letting them know that the weight limitation must be strictly adhered and they would be charged for additional weight. The 3 adults' tempers were flying as they busily rearranged the contents of their luggage. Of course the airlines make money. Air France charges $125 for each additional bag.
Standing in a long line for our passport check and hand-carry baggage process, J.J. and I basked in the cacophony of languages. Security check wait time was nearly one hour.
Finished my healthy lunch of 1 boiled egg, 1 sheet of WASA cracker and a handful of unsalted nuts. Our plane just landed. Looking forward to experiencing Air France!
Aloha -- Cathi
