Aloha Everyone,
US Highway 89 is a route to the Grand Canyon. We briefly considered going to the South Rim, but due to poor weather forecast, we decided to return to Page early. Our preferred Grand Canyon North Rim won't open until the 15th of May.
Drive took us 1 hour 20 minutes through ever changing and captivating scenery.
For lunch, we stopped at El Tapatio in the city of Page.
J.J.'s camarones ala crema (shrimp in cream) and my Carne Asada.
Ted and Theresa are locals. Ted's family has recently celebrated their 50th anniversary residing in Page. When they saw me taking photos of our dishes, we started a conversation. They definitely recommend that we visit Upper Antelope Canyon. Ted's nephew who is interested in becoming a professional photographer is also a certified Navajo guide. We will try to contact him once the weather clears.
