Spending The Day With J.J.'s Cousins

Aloha Everyone,

It's always very special to meet one's family and friends. This reunion was especially sweet as we were reunited with Bunny whom we have not seen for over 30 years. She is Ria's younger sister, and works as a psychiatric nurse in Show Low, a small Alpine village in east central Arizona with a population of approximately 11,000. At an elevation of 6,345 feet, Show Low's cool weather attracts summer and weekend visitors from Phoenix.

Formerly a resident of Florida, Bunny was recounting a snow day where her driveway and car were covered under snow. She had to get help from neighbors.

Our group activities included a drive to the Scenic Overview where we hiked down about 40 steps one way to take advantage of gorgeous photo op of the Glen Canyon Dam.

Joe and Rita from Lordi, WI kindly took our group photos for us.

Lunch get together followed.  Most went on an afternoon tour of the Lower Antelope Canyon. J.J. and I, in the meantime, went to the Page Public Library to get some prints made and for me to do reading on Native American healing.

The group reconvened for an early dinner at Dam Pub & Grill. After promising to visit Ria and Rene in Sugarland, TX and Bunny and James in Show Low, we parted company.

Aloha -- Cathi
