After a good night's sleep, J.J. and I were ready to embark on our 2016 RV adventure. But first I accompanied my daughter-in-law to drop our granddaughter at her school.
By 10:18 am, we were on our way. Today we were on the road for about 4 1/2 hrs including the lunch stop at Golden Acorn Casino. Beautiful clear day, but at several stretches on I-8, there were high wind warnings and J.J. had to hold onto Honu's steering wheel as we were being buffeted.
Rollie's Linda Vista RV Park is one of several RV parks located in and around Yuma. These RV parks cater to snowbirds who come to spend as much as 6 months to get away from the winter weather. Monthly advertised rate for one of the parks was $150. Extremely reasonable compared to $15.20 we paid which is calculated at 50% off for members of Passport America.
The facilities are basic, but we love being among orange, lemon and grape fruits trees.
