Aloha Everyone
Beautiful sunny, but cool weather, it is an absolutely perfect day for hiking. The marked trail is supposed to be about 6 1/2 miles round trip but since my son, my daughter-in-law and granddaughter and I meandered around the valley, we walked for nearly 3 1/2 hours or 7 miles.
Wild California mule deer sightings, crossing streams, finding decaying logs with holes drilled by woodpeckers in search of insects then used as storage for acorns by squirrels were the highlights of our hike.
