Flexibility And Mindfulness Are Keys To Happiness On The Road

Aloha Everyone,

Last night, J.J. and I altered the driving route we prepared in Rapid City due to winter weather conditions. It meant we had to forgo revisiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Our second alternate route was traveling to Denver, Colorado and take I-70 crossing the Continental Divide to Grand Junction. This also had to be scrapped because heavy snowfall closed the road overnight.

This morning we exercised our third option. From Buffalo to Casper, WY we took I-25S (112 miles), Casper to Rowlins (118 miles via Wyoming Route 220W and US 287,) then Rowlins to Rock Spring, (108 miles via I-80W).

Absolutely no pollution, clear chilly 46 degrees resulted in sharp lighting, incredible formations of cloud, really too beautiful for words.

Sunlit mounds of yellow grassy foreground butted against dark cloud is a powerful image.

I hope my iPhone camera did justice in capturing what J.J. and I saw this morning.

Mexico is bracing for Patricia, strongest hurricane ever in the Western Hemisphere. Hopefully, Patricia will not cause too much damage and California would not be affected by the hurricane.

Tonight Honu's home is The Travel Camp located in Green River, WY.

Aloha -- Cathi
